“The concept of quantum linguistics has its roots in the therapeutic realm of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)” says David Parnell.
“NLP is defined as “a model of interpersonal communication chiefly concerned with the relationship between successful patterns of behavior and the subjective experiences (especially patterns of thought) underlying them” and “a system of alternative therapy based on this which seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behavior”.
“From a linguistic stand point an object can be an object, an event, an experience, a thought, an emotion, etc… And in the brain, the linguistically represented boundary conditions are indeed physical entities in that they are created by the actual shape/size/volume/ease of access of the neural-net that they arise from. they are the specific physical connection of specific neurons in a brain that create a specific thought.” abbreviated.
So MY point is that you need to define the problem in order to solve it. And it cannot be solved by asking the traditional question why? because you can only get superficial unanalytical answer, that does not take into account the real thinking process of the other person. Right we are talking communication. ..
“Let’s take David´s example and imagine you’re a sales person and you have a “problem”… Your client is NOT buying your product”. So what are some boundary conditions that are defining this problem?…. you can try to define a lot of reasons. They will basically boil down to the client is NOT buying your product. The reasons why, won´t be helpful, because the answers do not take into account a series of factors including subconscious patterns of thought, the different communication components affecting the thought process of your client and more. In other words to understand why you are not selling, you need first to understand where your client is coming from. What was the client´s expectation? You really need to define some cognitive patterns. You need the boundary conditons. You need to be able to correctly assess the client´s need before you can begin to understand why you failed.
I believe that this point is very important in our period of hype in internet marketing sales. The marketer needs to be committed to his client and to the understanding of the clients needs before the interaction can be beneficial for both.
Marketing is essentially a relational skill and expert communication is fundamental .
