I think it is time now to return to settings and see what can be done to refine your image.

so login to your twitter account: and on the top click settings:

You will find the following tabs: Account,Password,Devices, Notices, Picture, Design, Connections

a) Account has the information you entered. Scroll down a bit and you will see your one line bio.

Well somehow this little item is all the information that your future twitterers will find on you. So think carefully and make it relevant. Make it attractive as well; don’t be boring, use humour or a catch phrase that relates to you as a person. Be distinctive. If you have professional sites, use the words you have already used to describe yourself. I am a believer in consistency!:))

b) Allows you to change your password: recommended from time to time.

c) Devices only concerns you if you wish to use twitter on you iphone

d) allows you to upload a picture. this is very important. If you want to build relationships on twitter. Generally people do not like to communicate with a drawing or a cartoon, it is best that you provide a good photo of yourself.

Hint: if you already are on other professional sites such as linkedin, ecademy , facebook and so on, do use the same picture. It does help your branding. Adds consistency to your image. once this is done to to the next tab “design”

e) Design:this allows you to put a background to your twitter. I am all in favour of aesthetics. Some pictures attract you and some don’t. So try to make the effort to search for a nice background. There are plenty and most of them are free. I personally use twitterbackgrounds. There are a lot of them and you can customize them or have someone cusomize it for you at a price. Unless you are star, or want ot be one,this is not necessary. So choose an image that you relate to and get going. You are done. Oh I forgot one more tab!

d) Connections allows you have other programs connect with your account. not necessary at the beginning.

Now you have an image , a photo and a bio. People can start relate to you. Remeber I weuggested twello for searching for leads.
